KL the best solo weekend

I visited KL last year for a solo week, LOVED the place, can’t wait to go back. I couldn’t stick to my planned itinerary because I got a sore throat and cold, probably because the airplane dry air and we were NOT prepared for the amount of ice in Malaysia , so everyone just chugged on ice cold drinks the first night and got a cold the next day. Hahah But did most of the other things I planned, had my first halal hot pot, kbbq, loads of shopping and food, took all forms of public transport, it was an experience.

I love that food is such a huge part of Malaysian culture, and I was genuinely overwhelmed by all the food that I couldn’t initially choose. Would love to visit the other parts of Malaysia sometime again, my reels have been all ramadan bazaar in KL content and I’m feeling absolutely nostalgic and homesick like because we left to Malaysia a couple days after Eid last year, so with Eid approaching soon, the feeling is strong.

Yes, if you can find an airbnb or condo or something for a short term that would be amazing. I travelled with my siblings and husband, so we got an airbnb in the Cheras area, like a 5min walk from the MRT, it was one of the apartments in a residential building, had 3 rooms, smooth process getting the keycard and all, maybe this added to the feeling of being at home. And the sun set at 7.30pm which was like a huge shock for us! And when compared to Singapore, I feel like Malaysia is on the affordable side with the accommodation, food, shopping and transport, even though they are currently prices after the inflation. Next time I should do the other sides of Malaysia too, other than Genting, we didn’t go anywhere else outside of KL and a week was absolutely not enough
