Has anybody tried BBQ solo before? I stumbled upon this…

Kuala Lumpur

this place in KL over the weekend and it said solo-friendly upfront so that was a HUGE RELIEF! Maybe MSTers in/has been to Japan or South Korea can give tips how to do solo BBQ experience in these countries. On a comparison scale, people have mentioned that SK is more communal in eating BBQ and Japanese are friendlier for solo diners. Do share your thoughts, or maybe if u have experienced, how did you navigate through this? Me personally - I’ve eaten teppanyaki & sushi MANY TIMES, alone, and has never felt excluded that I didn’t enjoy it I’ve also eaten at Korean establishments, but only once alone, and has never thought of repeating so perhaps the communal theory for SK is true, to an extent. Btw - even if there’s romanized english i still struggle choosing what to eat in international dining establishments sometimes. A good tip is when in doubt, the best seller (in the menu or in posters like in this case was way up high) will never disappoint!
