Uzbekistan weather in summer and if I wasnt scared of Russian
Current situation: extremely hot & dry in Uzbekistan. My guide said next month July it can reach up to 50 allahuakahbar! First impressions: if I wasnt scared of Russian language (stereotypical I know) I would come here without booking guides but I want to learn the culture ehhe. Also - pretty much everyone speaks English and SO SAFE & the streets don’t smell like piss & HALAL everywhere theyre 90% Muslims and with internet, you’re good here even solo! I also translated a Cyrillic menu last night as the waiter said “no English. U can translate”. I also only so far saw ONE lady dressed in a revealing manner - expect shes not local otherwise, I feel so comfortable and I feel like I can blend in naturally here. The beauty of Muslim country
ikr not too many tourists! Still cant get over the metro
The Uzbeks at my country told me I went to Uzbekistan at the wrong time and NOW is the best time!
I went in June time and it was roasting then, but the local guides have said July is 40+ people stay underground or go to the metro station to cool down!!
what was your favourite metro station?? Some of the metro stations are 2 in 1 lol
But I do love it there, it is so underrated!!

People are so friendly there and can help you if needed. But there is a language barrier - mostly Uzbek or Russian is spoken there. In Tashkent you may find English speakers. So you’ll deffo need a translate app.
