📍 Istanbul, Turkey · asked by a sister in our community
The question

Assalam Alaikum Ladies, how are you all.I will be traveling for a short work trip to Istanbul 29th to 3rd March and would like to know how can I tour the city, look around attractions, must visit places, traveling on public transport, shopping etc . I will be staying 1st to 3rd March, with my event on friday 2pm to 7 pm in Beyolu area flying out at 6.30 pm flight on 3rd March. Recommendations for airport transfer as its super costly and anyone knows tour guides etc. thank you !

MSTer: When you get to the hotel they have lots of phamplets information on the hotel notice board .Get in contact with them. The travel agency will pickup drop off. Also the hotel staff will give you information on sightseeing. You will travel in groups very safe.

MST team: Salam Gazala! We have a guide on Istanbul here https://muslimsolotravel.com/muslim-friendly-things-to.../ hope that gives a few ideas. Bosphorus is a must if u love waters. Main attractions like Aya Sofia requires long queues so come in advance. I echo you on the tour guides. I only have met Male tour guides there and am searching for female so if there’s any turkiye based tour guide here let us know. Most probably would be there as well in June this year. Anyways if u cant find a tour guide and would like to meet sisters who happen to be traveling there or lives there instead our sub group Connect with Muslimah Solo Travelers might help! Airport transfer - i took both taxis & bus last time and bus was a headache for me cause they didnt announce stops and i arrived late in evening & taxis are indeed costly but it is what it is and ease of mind can be expensive but worth it so sometimes u might want to be ok with costly transfers, and cut down on other parts of travel expenses. Perhaps others can chime in. Best x MUSLIMSOLOTRAVEL.COM 15 Muslim-Friendly Things To Do Alone in Istanbul, Turkiye - Muslim Solo Travel

MSTer: I used a tour company to book day trips in Antalya called Excursion Mania. They have trips in Istanbul too.
