Answers from MSTers

MSTer: Thanks so much for your comments. It is not very unsafe na ? Got to know that the place doesn’t have a very good reputation.

MST team: unsafe depends on where ure staying, what time ure out and about and like anywhere else in the world there are always spots n alleys that are shady. Ive unknowingly stayed very close to red light districts in the past in thai esp pattaya aka “s3x capital” (only found out about this reputation when i was there) and diff countries too but kept a positive mindset that Allah is protecting me throughout (v important) - alhamdullilah i met lady grab driver in pattaya last november and delicious muslim restaurants & stalls there upon walking at the beach (all i didnt even plan or research too in apps but Allah opens the path and make it easy as long as u trust in Him). Hope the article would give u an idea of where to be in BKK. N enjoy while u have the meeting xx

MST team: Traffic is long n can go for two hours in rush hour. But grab is reliable. Some trains accept visa. Most of the halal restaurants are in mall around MBK or iconsiam etc or further out in my experience. My biggest regret in Bangkok was not experiencing muay thai. I had a plan with a sister living there but clashed on just two different weeks. Contemplated to go alone for muay thai bcs of the alcohol present there *i saw photos online* i preferred having companion for this type of events. Or maybe skipping was for the best. Still, gotta go back and do this. Maybe u can find fellow MSTers in our sub group Connect with Muslimah Solo Travelers if this is what ure keen to try in between ur meeting! Let us know how ur bkk trip is later!

MST team: Chaotic and busy in city center. Probably busier than Jakarta Indonesia. People are nice. On a side note - hope our hotels guide would help greatly on ur biz trip! https://muslimsolotravel.com/muslim-friendly-hotels-in.../ cant wait to hear what others are saying x MUSLIMSOLOTRAVEL.COM Muslim-friendly Hotels in Bangkok [Where to Stay as a Muslimah Solo Traveler]

MST team: How'd it go sis? keen to hear your experiences
