So, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to YOLO and go on a very last minute budget trip to Kuching – my second solo trip to the island of Borneo.
I first visited the Sarawak Cultural Museum to learn about the way of life of the indigenous peoples and enjoyed their traditional dance performances. I explored the shops along Kuching Waterfront afterwards and checked out the Sunday weekend market. I visited the Islamic Museum to learn how Islam came to Sarawak and spend half a day at the Borneo Cultures Museum before flying back to Singapore last night.
I never knew how diverse Sarawak actually is until this trip, and now wish I had more time to explore others parts of Sarawak! Will be back Insha Allah
