Which part of Budapest did you stay at?

Four Days & Free Tours

I found it quite fun and interesting with lots to explore.

It wasn’t somewhere I would have picked myself but my brother was getting a connecting flight to Jeddah from there so it made sense for me to do a few days there before I got the same flight as him.

I stayed in the Buda side. My taxi driver told me about the two sides of the river – Buda which is more hilly with architecture and promenades and Pest which is more commercial. I did not know this before. My hotel was actually a boat hotel, so I was actually on the river. I was right next to the bridge which took me onto the Pest side and from our boat. We could actually see the Parliament building which is fantastic to look at night.

I stayed for four days which is more than enough. my only regret is I didn’t get to see the Parliament building from inside. Whilst they do do free tours you have to book in advance. I hadn’t realised until my last day
