Anybody can have first solo travel experiences again and again regardless if you’ve done it multiple times before! Going to Almaty for the first time was a shocker! I thought everyone would speak Russian (stereotype, yes, I know) but turns out more younger people spoke English so that was… easy! Some signs are still in cyrillic (Russian alphabet), so I use google translate so that makes life so easy. & Yandex, you NEED the app to move around in Almaty ☺️
