Every year, the historic Chellah in Rabat hosts a captivating cultural and theatrical program that transports visitors through time.
Unfortunately, I missed out on this year’s event due to sold-out tickets.
Luckily, my friend had an unforgettable experience and was eager to share it here with all of us.
She recently attended the “Nostalgia – Yesterday’s Emotion” show for the second time this year.
As a fellow Muslimah Solo Traveler, she wanted to share her journey and inspire others to explore Morocco’s rich history and culture.
It was the first time my friend had attended such a show. She found it incredibly informative, providing a deep understanding of Moroccan history and the civilizations that shaped the Kingdom of Morocco.

Transportation-wise
Getting to Chellah is easy as it’s located in the heart of the city. You can either walk or take a taxi.
Ticket-wise
It’s recommended to reserve your ticket online in advance. The price is 30 DH for Moroccans and 70 DH (approximately $7) for tourists.
If you can’t get a reservation, you can try your luck at the ticket office but be aware that tickets might sell out quickly.

One thing to note: The show is primarily in Moroccan dialect and classical Arabic, which might be challenging to understand for non-Arabic speakers. However, the overall atmosphere and visuals are still enjoyable.
